Mahindra TUV300 BS6 has been spotted testing on our roads, signifying that the launch of the compact SUV is nearby.
The sole image that we have obtained of the car undergoing testing was shared by MotorBeamer Ashok Sirvi from Pune.
It is no secret that the utility vehicle maker was feverishly working on updating its lineup to meet the latest emissions regulations before the pandemic brought things to an abrupt halt.
Having recently updated the Marazzo and the XUV500, it was only a matter of time before the BS6 Mahindra TUV300 got its turn to be launched as well. Thus, finding that the car is undergoing testing is a very good sign indeed.
This means the compact SUV’s launch is close by and those with good memory would remember that it was set to be launched by April.
While only the front profile of the BS6 TUV300 has been spotted now, displaying the revised bumper, headlights, fog lamp housing, radiator grille, previous spy shots have revealed a bit more.
For the BS6 model, Mahindra will also change the rear bumper, tail lamps and spare wheel cover and it is expected that the compact SUV will receive new alloys as well.
Expect changes to be made inside the vehicle as well, with the car receiving an update for the infotainment system, instrument cluster and new upholstery.
Powering the car would be a 1.5-litre diesel mill that is expected to retain its 101 PS and 240 Nm power output even in BS6 guise and it will be mated to a 5-speed manual. The AMT option might be brought back, but we cannot say that for sure right now.
