Kawasaki has reduced the pricing of W800 with BS6 update.
Some bike makers have started their second round of price hike in BS6 era. While there are some that have reduced the pricing with BS6 instead of increasing.
Kawasaki has seen the opportunity of correcting the pricing for W800 cruiser motorcycle. With the BS6 update of the bike, Kawasaki has reduced the price of W800 by a whopping Rs. 1 lakh.
The Kawasaki W800 now comes with a price tag of Rs. 6.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The premium cruiser motorcycle wasn’t doing well for the company in India. The stiff competition wasn’t helping Kawasaki’s case either.
In a bid to attract more buyers in the current dwindling sales due to the crisis, Kawasaki has reduced the pricing. Looking at the current scenario, it is a good move from the Japanese bike maker.
The W800 comes with a 773cc, parallel-twin, fuel-injected, SOHC, air-cooled engine. This motor churns out 52 HP at 6500 RPM and 62.9 Nm of torque at 4800 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
There are no changes in output over the BS4 model. Even the styling of the bike and features remain the same with this BS6 update, which is not an issue since the price has gone considerably down.
The Kawasaki W800 competed with the Triumph Bonneville T100 in the Indian market. The latter is priced much higher and will cost more in the near future. Triumph will be increasing the price across the range. This might help Kawasaki W800 fetch more buyers.
