Datsun has listed the updated BS6 GO and GO+ models on their website.
Datsun is preparing to launch their heavily updated facelift of the redi-GO. It comes with revised exteriors, interiors and new features on offer with a BS6 engine. Datsun is also ready to introduce BS6 compliant GO and GO+ models.
The updated Datsun GO variants have been listed on the official website and there are not too many changes. There are no exterior and interior cosmetic tweaks, no additional features either.
It comes with engine updates to comply with BS6 emission norms and mild safety updates. The updated brochure reveals both the cars are now side crash and pedestrian protection regulation compliant. Speed sensing auto door lock feature has been added too.
The engine remains the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor that churns out 68 PS at 5000 RPM and 104 Nm at 4000 RPM. The CVT variant produces a higher 77 PS at 6000 RPM. There are no changes in engine output compared to BS4.
However, the fuel efficiency figures have gone down with BS6 engine update. The GO now returns a lower fuel efficiency of 19.02 km/l and 19.59 km/l for manual and CVT respectively from 19.83 km/l and 20.7 km/l.
The GO+ now claims 19.02 km/l and 18.57 km/l of fuel efficiency for manual and CVT respectively, which is down from 19.72 km/l and 19.41 km/l.
The BS6 version of GO models are likely to launch later this month while bookings are expected to commence on 15th May. The Japanese automaker is also prepping to introduce Nissan Kicks BS6 and Datsun redi-GO facelift soon.
