Bajaj Platina gets BS6 update along with minor cosmetic tweaks.
Bajaj Auto is constantly updating their range of bikes in this BS6 transition. While some motorcycles only get engine update. Some bikes are getting minor tweaks along with greener engines.
Case in point, the Bajaj Platina 100. The commuter motorcycle has received a BS6 update along with visual changes. The BS6 Bajaj Platina 100 price now starts from Rs. 47,763/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The front profile of the Platina 100 now looks fresh. The body-coloured cowl of the BS4 model is now a tinted small windscreen in the BS6 version. Along with that, Bajaj has repositioned the LED DRLs closer to the headlight.
These changes make the Platina 100 look updated to attract more buyers. Another update is the new ribbed seat, which is borrowed from the Platina 110 H-Gear.
The Platina 100 now gets fuel injection tech. Powered by a 102cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 7.7 BHP and 8.34 Nm of torque, mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
Apart from the updated engine and minor visual tweaks, there are no other changes to the bike. The Platina 100 continues to be offered in black and red colour options.
Bajaj Auto has restarted production at their facilities with restrictions of lockdown gradually easing out. The Indian bike maker has extended warranty and free service period for all bikes till 31st July.
