A slew of updates have been revealed by BMW Motorrad for the S 1000 RR, S 1000 XR and nine other models in its range. Said to be for the model year 2021, the updated bikes can be ordered from August this year, states the manufacturer.
Since there are many number of changes, certain optional equipment will not be available until December, but most will be on offer from October onwards.
So, BMW S 1000 RR updates will see the bike get a new “Black Storm” metallic paint added, while the Racing Red colour is dropped. It is now Euro 5 compliant as well. Optional equipment offered on the 2021 S 1000 RR are as follows:
- Sports silencer
- M titanium exhaust system
- M milled parts package
- Protectors for clutch & brake lever and engine
- M folding brake lever and clutch lever
- M rider footrest system
- Sports package
- M Endurance chain
- USB charging port
- M GPS lap trigger
The BMW S 1000 XR also gets updates like three colours – Light White, Racing Blue and Racing Red, titanium sports silencer, M Endurance chain, Windshield Sport and additional Core Screen with laptimer. Optional equipment offered on the bike are many, and they are:
- Titanium sports silencer
- Tour package with expanded content
- USB charging port
- New luggage rack with integrated holder for topcase
- M milled parts package
- M folding brake and clutch lever
- M engine protector left
- M rider and pillion footrests
Similarly, the BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR have also been updated with LED turn indicators and a new activation concept for driving modes (optional). Other models that have also received updates are R 1250 R and RS, K 1600 models and the R 18.
