The folks at NMoto Design have introduced a custom retro body kit for the already classic looking BMW R nineT. The body kit gets its inspiration from BMW’s 1973 pre-war prototype- the R7.
NMoto is a custom motorcycle company from the USA and they have received a lot of praise for their various striking and classic builds. The R7 body kit comes from one such build- the Nostalgia.
Coming to the custom body kit, NMoto has done a superb job with it. The kit includes 74 handcrafted pieces. In this, there are over 11 components from top aftermarket companies such as Motogadget.
Moreover, all parts are built from aluminium, which means that the R nineT ‘Nostalgia’ is actually lighter than the stock bike itself. The parts also include the swaying fish-tail exhausts which look achingly beautiful.
The feature-list is nothing short of impressive as it is almost as long as the custom R nineT itself. The bike gets LED lighting, adjustable seat, keyless ignition, factory-BMW speedometer, adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes upfront, etc.
Further, powering the bike is the same 1170cc boxer engine with a 6-speed gearbox, which makes 110 HP of power and 116 Nm of torque. A steering damper and ABS are also part of the standard package.
Interested in the ‘Nostalgia’? All you need is ‘just’ $50,000 (Rs. 36 lakhs). However, NMoto has also launched the body kit separately. If you happen to own a BMW R nineT already, the body kit costs just $7000 (Rs. 5.1 lakhs), making it quite a bargain.
Moreover, NMoto claims that the custom kit is a direct fit and owners will not have to make any extra adjustments on the motorcycle. Lastly, sales for the new kit will begin in October 2020 and sadly, it will be only available in Europe.
