BMW India is gearing up to introduce its global used-car programme – BMW Premium Selection Programme by 2010. BPS is a global brand which guarantees the automaker’s standards in the used-car sector. A BMW Premium Selection car must have an approved and documented vehicle history, pass a 72-technical point inspection that would be conducted by BMW-trained technicians, and must be less than 5 years old or less than 1,20,000kms of mileage.
The cars will be visually and technically refurbished before being put on sale. There will also be other premium services offered such as a comprehensive 24-moth or 40,000-km warranty regardless of which comes first, 24-hour roadside assistance, test driving and individual financing. According to BMW India, by next year the company will be having loads of customers who would be looking for an upgrade or a new car and hence the programme would become viable.
The Premium Selection program is reserved exclusively for used BMW automobiles that fulfill defined premium standards.
