BMW India has commenced the operations of its state-of-the-art BMW Group Training Centre in Gurgaon. The new training centre has been built on a property of 2.2 acres and is equipped with resources to provide training for all BMW Group brands in the market which include BMW passenger vehicles, MINI, BMW Motorrad and Rolls-Royce. All training programs will be conducted by BMW Group certified trainers.
BMW says that the training centre is an extension of the company’s commitment to India. The training centre will allow the company to provide intensive training in sales, service, parts and business systems to BMW Group India associates and the Bavarian based auto giant will be able to provide its customers the best-in-class pre and post sales ownership experience.
The training centre built on an investment of Rs. 16 crores is one of the largest investments BMW has made after the establishment of the manufacturing plant in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Mumbai and the development of a dealer organisation across major cities. The vicinity houses eight training units for non-technical, technical and body trainings. Also incorporated at the centre is a brand and customer institute, three conference rooms and a sizeable office area.
The maximum capacity for the training centre is 18,000 Training Man-Days (TMD) per annum that will not only be available to the Indian, but also the overseas associates in the future. The training centre is equipped with high-tech tools and equipment that provide a training experience of an international standard. BMW also launched the M6 Gran Coupe in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.75 crores at the new training centre.
