The launch of the BMW G310R comes closer and it will be priced close to Rs. 2.5 lakhs in India.
Bajaj Auto seems to have done most of its work for 2017 by launching the Dominar and updating its complete Pulsar lineup with new colours, BS-IV and of course AHO, same is the case with KTM which doesn’t have any launch planned for this year. Yamaha too has launched its performance bike for the masses, the FZ25 which means it is TVS and BMW’s turn to bring in their products.
The TVS Akula is expected to be launched next month while the BMW G310R will go on sale around the same time, it has been spotted multiple times on Indian roads and was recently caught on video without any camouflage on the Bangalore-Chennai route. This motorcycle has been engineered by BMW in Munich while production is done by TVS in Hosur.
The BMW G310R is powered by a 313cc engine that belts out 34 PS and 28 Nm. Taking design inspiration from the flagship BMW roadster, the S1000R, the G310R is a winner due to many reasons like design, quality and most importantly snob value. Set to compete with the KTM Duke 390, the BMW G310R has its task cut in front of it, as it lacks equipment and will still be priced at a premium.
