The features of the BMW G310 GS have been explained in an official video by the company.
BMW Motorrad recently confirmed their plans to launch the G310 GS in India by November 2017 with the G310R, the bike on which the G310 GS is based, set to go on sale by April 2017. The official video of the BMW G310 GS will definitely make you want one as the company has gone ahead and explained the features on the adventure bike.
The BMW G310 GS uses the same underpinnings as the G310 street bike but is as true to the GS moniker as its bigger siblings. The adventure motorcycle is powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which generates 33.6 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The motor is backward titled using a rotated cylinder head, resulting in optimum weight distribution for better handling.
The BMW G310 GS uses a 19-inch front wheel, die-cast aluminium swingarm and the 41 mm upside front forks have 49 mm more travel than the G310R. But the seat height of 835 mm will keep it out of reach of short riders. The switchgear quality looks very premium with a dedicated ABS button to turn it on or off.
The BMW G310 GS comes with a luggage rack and enduro footpegs. One can opt for a slew of optional accessories including a tank bag, heated grip and smartphone cradle for navigation with charging. Made by TVS in India, the BMW G310 GS will be priced under Rs. 3 lakhs.
