The upcoming small BMW endurance bike has been spied once more, this time in Germany. The bike is seen carrying a luggage box attached to it.
The spyshots of the upcoming BMW G310 GS are now so common, it seems that the company is not at all trying to hide the fact that the bike is still under the testing phase. The G310 GS is a part of a paradigm shift in the company’s strategy through which it will try to expand its reach in emerging markets with a small displacement bike. Now, the BMW G310 GS has been once again spotted revving it out on the highways of Germany before its expected unveil at the EICMA show in Milan next month.
Latest set of spy images of the small capacity BMW G310 GS showcase the vehicle being tested in Germany. It can be seen clearly that how much the motorbike resembles the R1200 GS in styling and stance, even though this one is based on the street naked G310R. The small GS also has higher bars than the G310R, plus a carry box on the luggage rack and dual-purpose tyres.
The silver painted adventure motorcycle can be seen sporting a semi-fairing painted in red and another one has it painted in black, along with long travel suspension and a bash plate. The BMW G310 GS is still running on wheels with alloy-wheel design shared with the G310R itself. Having such resemblance to an iconic adventure-tourer increases the aspirational value of the product exponentially.
When the BMW G310 GS is launched in our country, it will have the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Mahindra Mojo squarely in its sights. The bike shares its mechanicals with the G310R, which is powered by a 313cc single-cylinder engine. This means that, if left unfettered, it’ll make 34 BHP of power. In India, the smallest adventure machine from BMW will be manufactured by TVS at its Hosur facility.
