BMW Motorrad has revealed the G310 GS adventure bike at the ongoing 2016 EICMA motor show, it is based on the G310R street fighter.
We had recently seen some spy shots of the BMW G310 GS motorcycle testing with minimal camouflage. BMW Motorrad has finally revealed the compact adventure motorcycle at the 2016 EICMA motor show in Milan. In terms of looks, the G310 GS carries the typical GS family styling which is tall, muscular and sporty.
The BMW G310 GS is based on its street-fighter sibling, the G310R that the German automaker made in association with TVS Motors. The BMW G310R and G310 GS share many mechanical elements together. The motorcycle features a 313cc liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 33.6 BHP and 28 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The new Beemer weighs 169.5 kgs and has a seat height of 835 mm. The BMW G310 GS also features 19-inch front wheels with a long travel suspension do handle both off-road duties and long distance touring. It features a 41 mm fork, which offers 49 mm more travel than its sibling but no adjustability, the BMW G310R.
BMW Motorrad is offering decent tech with the G310 GS including ABS as standard, LCD instrument cluster and a lot more accessories that include heated grips, power sockets, etc. BMW is expected to launch the G310R in India soon but the G310 GS is unlikely to hit the Indian shores anytime soon.
