The much awaited BMW G 310 R, the entry-level sports bike from the German Manufacturer finally makes its way into India.
In between much excitement and anticipation, BMW Motorrad has finally launched its first entry-level sports bike, the BMW G 310 R in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The bike is already on sale globally but has had a delayed launch in India. The BMW G 310 R borrows its design language from the bigger roadsters in the BMW range like the S 1000 R. In the India-spec model, the bike sports a saree guard on the rear wheel. BMW has also given the G 310 R a new Racing Red paint scheme while the Strato Metallic Blue colour won’t be available.
The BMW G 310 R is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 34 HP at 9500 RPM and 28.4 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while ABS comes as standard.
BMW has developed the G 310 R with TVS and the bike is produced at TVS’ Hosur factory. The bike has started reaching the BMW showrooms. You can book yours for Rs. 50,000/- while deliveries are expected to begin within the coming weeks.
The BMW G 310 R will be directly competing with the segment benchmark setter, the KTM Duke 390.
