The BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS adventure bikes launched at the 2018 Auto Expo, priced from Rs. 12.20 lakhs.
The Auto Expo rolls on to its 14th edition this year and BMW Motorrad’s lineup at the event is nothing short of spectacular. The 2-wheeler division of the German giant has launched two of its adventure motorcycles, BMW F 750 GS (in the 1st 5 pictures) and BMW F 850 GS (in the last 5 pictures) and alongside has showcased the BMW G310R and G310 GS. Launched via the CBU route, the BMW F 750 GS and the F 850 GS have been priced at Rs. 12.20 lakhs and Rs. 13.70 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Loaded with features such as ABS and ‘Road’ & ‘Rain’ riding modes, the duo share the same 853cc parallel-twin heart that pumps out 77 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 83 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM on the F 750 GS and 95 BHP of power at 8250 RPM and 92 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM astride the F850 GS. Besides being more powerful, the latter also gets off-road tyres, spoked wheels and a more advanced suspension setup. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The German automaker is offering Gear shift assistant Pro (for faster gear shifts without having to use the clutch) as optional.
Both the adventure bikes get features like a new instrument cluster, a 6.5-inch TFT console known as Connectivity which will enable the rider to use phone and multimedia functions, though, is offered as optional.
