BMW has introduced a limited edition 7-Series model for the Japanese market only and is called the V12 Bi-Turbo Edition. The special edition 7-Series is based on the 760Li model, powered by a V12 bi-turbo 6.0-litre petrol engine with double VANOS technology that produces 536 HP of maximum power and 750 Nm of peak torque, which is similar to the standard 760Li variant. The BMW 7-Series special edition doesn’t feature any technical modifications but gets cosmetic and equipment upgrades.
On the exteriors, BMW has treated the special edition 7-Series with the M aerodynamic package that consists of redesigned bumpers, 21-inch V-spoke alloy wheels along with ‘V12 Bi-Turbo’ and ‘M’ badging on the bootlid. The exhaust pipes and kidney grille are finished with dark chrome treatment to give the sedan a sporty appearance and the door sills also get an engraved ‘V12 Bi-Turbo’ badge to make people aware about the special edition.
The interiors of the special edition BMW 7-Series is totally upholstered in Nappa leather all around with ceramic finish on the iDrive controller, air-conditioning vents and other levers. To make the 7-Series even more special, BMW has fitted a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system that delivers 1200 watts of output. BMW will produce only 52 examples of the 7 Series V12 Bi-Turbo exclusively for the Japanese market. Customers can order the limited edition model until August with deliveries commencing in October. The starting price for the special edition BMW 7-Series is 22,600,000 Japanese Yen (Rs. 1.24 crores).
