BMW 4-Series F32 Coupe Concept Unveiled

BMW has officially unveiled their upcoming 4-Series Coupe concept online. From the images, this concept car almost looks production ready and will be introduced to the world at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Motor Show. The 4-Series F32 concept can be called the coupe version of the BMW 3-Series sedan with appropriate design tweaks to give it that slant at the rear and make it sleeker. The result is a sporty, sleek and elegant looking coupe from the Bavarian motor company.

Overall styling of the coupe is typical BMW, but a few areas seem specifically designed for the F32. The front profile looks absolutely sleek and stunning with a newer headlamp and new flow of the all time LED lights. The airdam also looks quite different and holds an LED cluster of fog lamps. At the rear, only the tail lights speak new, the rest is much seen. But again, (airdam) at the bottom provides a striking look at the rear. The dashboard and interiors are the same but with full leather treatment.

The coupe would be sharing the same platform as the sedan and the engines would most likely be sourced from the sedan itself. If that’s the case, then we will find a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre petrol engine with power outputs of 184 BHP and 245 BHP and a 3.0-litre petrol with 306 BHP. The diesel engines would be 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre turbocharged ones with power outputs of 184 BHP and 262 BHP respectively. The engines will be coupled to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW M4 will be launched with a turbocharged in-line 6 engine, replacing the naturally aspirated V8. More details would be unveiled at the premiere of the car and it is expected to hit the roads in 2014.
