BGauss RUV 350 is available in 3 variants
BGauss has unveiled its latest electric scooter, the RUV 350, with prices starting at Rs. 1.10 lakhs and going up to Rs. 1.35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new offering stands out with its 16-inch wheels, which are a rarity in this segment, promising a smooth ride.
The BGauss RUV 350 is available in three variants: i EX, EX, and Max. The base variant, i EX, is priced at Rs. 1.10 lakhs, while the mid-level EX and top-tier Max are priced at Rs. 1.25 lakhs and Rs. 1.35 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
The top variant, RUV 350 Max, boasts a real-world range of 120 km in Eco mode, thanks to its 3 kWh LFP battery. In contrast, the i EX and EX variants are equipped with a 2.3 kWh battery, offering a range of 90 km. All three variants are powered by the ‘InWheel Hyperdrive’ motor, similar to the swingarm-mounted unit seen in the Bajaj Chetak and share a top speed of 75 km/hr.
The base model, RUV 350i EX, comes with a segmented LCD display but lacks Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, hill hold, fall safe and over-the-air (OTA) updates. On the other hand, the EX and Max variants feature a 5-inch colour TFT display that provides notification alerts and navigation prompts.
One of the standout features of the RUV 350 is its 16-inch wheels, reminiscent of the step-through scooters popular in Southeast Asia.
The BGauss RUV 350 also offers a 15-litre underseat storage compartment in its highest variant, adding a practical touch for daily use.
With its competitive pricing, the BGauss RUV 350 positions itself against established electric scooters like the Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. How it fares in the market against these well-known competitors will be interesting to observe in the coming months.
