Bentley has introduced the world’s fastest 4 door car in India, the Continental Flying Spur Speed which has a top speed of 320 kmph that will be available at Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). With the launch of the new Speed variant, the company is targeting about 10 units of the Flying Spur family in the domestic market. Besides the new car, Bentley sells four other cars in the Indian market.
“We are looking at enhancing our range in India. All our future models will be simultaneously launched in India along with the global market,” Mr Buxton said. Bentley sold over 10,014 cars globally in 2007 and has a order backlog of 30 cars in the Indian market.
The Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed uses the same 600Hp W12 twin-turbocharged engine offered in the Continental GT Speed delivering 600Hp, 48Hp more than the standard version. The most powerful 4-door car ever produced by the British manufacturer has a 0-60mph time of 4.5 sec (0-100km/h in 4.8sec) and a top speed of 200mph (322km/h).
