Benelli has a sizeable motorcycle lineup for the Indian market and to further grow this portfolio, they will soon launch the Benelli Tornado 302 in India, which has been spied testing.

The Benelli Tornado 302 comes with a twin-headlamps setup

At the 2016 Auto Expo, Benelli showcased an aggressive lineup at their exhibit where the massive attention seeker was the Benelli Tornado 302. The fully faired motorcycle from the Italian bike maker is based on the TNT 300 sharing the same underpinnings. The Tornado 302 was first revealed to the world at the 2015 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan.

In terms of styling, the Benelli Tornado 302 gives you a big bike feel with the way the fairing is designed. It has got twin headlamps up front, some muscle on the fuel tank and a very sporty stance when you look it from the side profile having split seats. The bike has been spotted testing in India ahead of its launch within a few weeks in the festive season.

The Benelli Tornado 302 is powered by a 300cc twin-cylinder engine producing 35.4 PS of power at 12,000 RPM and 27 Nm of torque at 9000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The top speed is rated at 170 km/hr and the fuel tank capacity is 14-litres. It uses 41 mm USD front forks along with a monoshock setup at the rear and sits on a tubular steel frame.

Braking duties are done by dual 260 mm petal discs up front and single 240 mm disc at the rear. We expect Benelli to offer ABS with the Tornado 302 in India. The new 300cc offering from Benelli will compete with KTM RC390, Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. It is expected to be launched in the festive season with an estimated price tag of Rs. 3 lakhs.
