Benelli TNT 25 Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 1.68 Lakhs [Live]

The Benelli TNT 25 packs in a healthy power output while the massive fuel tank makes it an excellent tourer and a threat to the Mahindra Mojo and KTM Duke 200.

Having showcased the model as early as February this year, Benelli India has officially launched the TNT 25 street-fighter in the country priced at Rs. 1.68 for the standard version while the premium variant is priced at Rs. 1.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The most affordable offering to come from the Italian automaker, the TNT 25 is the last product launch for DSK-Benelli this year and will be locking horns with the KTM Duke 200 and Mahindra Mojo in the quarter-litre segment.

Featuring an appreciable styling derived from the bigger Benellis, the TNT 25 resembles the TNT 300 with the similar looking headlamp while the massive 17-litre fuel tank is a sure shot attention grabber. Also striking are the alloy wheels and fat front forks on the naked quarter-litre. The bike gets a split-piece seat while the tail lamp unit uses LEDs. The Italian motorbike measures 2080 mm in length, 810 mm in width, 1125 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1400 mm.

Powering the Benelli TNT 25 is a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valves engine that churns out 28.15 BHP at 9800 RPM and 21.61 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The street-fighter gets USD front forks, rear monoshock; 280 mm front disc and 240 mm rear wavy disc brakes and a side-mounted exhaust.

The kerb weight of the TNT 25 stands at 159 kgs while the ground clearance is 160 mm. Like bigger Benelli models, the exhaust note manages to stand out here as well. The company is offering the motorcycle in two colours – white and red while two tyre options (front – 110/70/17, rear – 150/60/17) are available on the motorcycle, MRF (standard variant) and Metzeler (premium variant). Three set of decals are part of accessories.

In essence, the TNT 25 is Benelli’s big ticket to the volumes game and while not an outright performer like the KTM, it does pack quite a punch offering healthy touring capabilities. The Chinese owned automaker has been working proactively to establish presence pan India with Indian partner DSK Motowheels, which will only help attract more customers towards its entry-level offering. Deliveries for the TNT 25 commence immediately across the country with more than 250 soft bookings already received by dealers.
