Benelli will launch 5 bikes within the next few weeks while the other 3 will be launched in the second half of 2015.
All set to commence its Indian operations very soon, Benelli will be showcasing eight bikes at the third edition of India Bike Week scheduled on 20-21 February at Vagator, Goa. The Italian bike maker is one of the sponsors of IBW this year and the biking event is expected to attract crowds of up to 12,000 making it a great platform to showcase their offerings ahead of the official launch in the next month. Apart from the five bikes confirmed for the Indian market, Benelli will also showcase three new bikes namely the TNT 250 street-fighter as well as the TRE 1130 K and TRE 1130 K Amazonas adventure tourers.
Benelli’s distinct lineup for India includes the TNT 300 that will compete against the Kawasaki Z250, KTM Duke 390, whereas the middle-weight TNT 600i and TNT 600 GT will be locking horns with the Kawasaki ER-6n and Ninja 650 respectively. The TNT 899 will be pitted against the Kawasaki Z800, Triumph Street Triple and the upcoming Honda CBR650F. Benelli’s flagship offering, the TNT 1130 will compete against the Honda CB1000R, Kawasaki Z1000 and the likes in the litre-class segment. The company has also stated that all its bikes will be revealed in a completely new avatar with updated looks and colours for the 2015 model year.
In addition to the five models scheduled for launch, Benelli will expand its lineup with three new products including the TNT 250 single-cylinder bike which will be its most affordable offering while the TRE 1130K and TRE 1130 K Amazonas will cater to the growing breed of adventure tourers that are presently on offer. The brand will be bringing its entire range of offerings via the CKD route in the country, save for the high capacity superbikes that will be imported directly from Italy via the CBU route.
