Expect the Benelli 502c to be launched soon as bookings have begun
Benelli India has began accepting bookings for its 502c cruiser which is set to be introduced soon in the market.
Customers can book the motorcycle either online or at Benelli’s authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs. 10,000/-.
To be available with a choice of 2 colour options – Glossy Black and Matte Cognac Red – the cruiser bike comes with styling that has been, to put it mildly, heavily inspired by the Ducati Diavel.
Nonetheless, with its visible steel trellis frame, bulbous 21-litre fuel tank, raised handlebars, double barrel stainless steel exhaust and sleek lighting units, it does have presence.
The bike is 2240 mm long, 950 mm wide and 1150 mm tall. It has a 1600 mm wheelbase, while the seat height is 750 mm and ground clearance is a claimed 210 mm.
Power comes from a 500cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that churns out a maximum of 47.5 PS at 8500 RPM and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Sporting inverted front forks and monoshock for ironing out vibrations, the 502c comes with 120/70-section front tyre and 160/60-section rear tyre, both wrapped around 17-inch rims.
Stopping power comes from twin 280 mm discs upfront and 240 mm disc at the back with dual channel ABS assist.
With the Benelli 502c bookings having commenced, the bike will be launched soon and deliveries are scheduled to start from August.
