The much awaited Benelli Imperiale 400 has been launched in India priced at Rs. 1.69 lakhs.
After all the speculations, spy shots and delays, the Benelli Imperiale 400 is finally here. The Italian bike maker has priced it attractively too with a price tag of Rs. 1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is available for booking online as well as at the dealerships for a booking amount of Rs. 4000/-.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 comes with a 3 year unlimited kilometres warranty as standard. Benelli is offering 2 years of complimentary service as well. Post 2 years, the customers can avail the Annual Maintenance Contract by Benelli. The Imperiale 400 is offered in three colour options – Red, Silver and Black.
The bike is powered by a 374cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC engine that produces 21 PS at 5500 RPM and 29 Nm at 4500 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Imperiale 400 has a wheelbase of 1440 mm, seat height of 780 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm. The bike has a kerb weight of 205 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres.
It sits on a double cradle chassis having a 41 mm telescopic front suspension and pre-load adjust rear suspension. There is a 300 mm single disc brake at the front and 240 mm single disc brake at the rear. The front tyre size is 100/90/19 while the rear is a 130/80/18. The Imperiale 400 gets dual channel ABS as standard.
Thanks to the heavy localisation in India, Benelli has managed to price the bike well. The Imperiale 400 directly competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
