Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 has been launched with a price of Rs. 1.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The launch was delayed due to COVID-19 and government restrictions that ensued.
Benelli had planned to launch the bike by April, but nobody could have foreseen such difficult times to be able to avoid it.
Customers can book the retro-style cruiser for a token amount of Rs. 6000/- on Benelli’s website or at the dealership. Deliveries of the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 will commence from August first week.
Admittedly, the price hike has been very steep this time around and the model is dearer by Rs. 20,000 when compared to the BS4 model.
There are no other changes on the Imperiale 400 apart from engine that is now BS6 compliant. Power output of the 373.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine develops 21 PS at 6000 RPM and 29 Nm at 3500 RPM.
The power and torque outputs are delivered at a different RPM range even though the numbers are the same as the BS4 model.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, while the bike has 41 mm telescopic forks that are the right way up and preload-adjustable dual springs at the rear.
Providing the braking force are 300 mm and 240 mm discs with dual-channel ABS. The Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 is offered with a 3-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and there are three colour options on offer.
Benelli says that it is offering multiple aftersales service benefits to buyers of the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6. These include access to an exclusive riding community called “Imperiale Raiders”.
The cruiser is offered with a 3-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, five complimentary periodic maintenance services for the first two years, pick and drop service and 24×7 Road Side Assistance.
