The Benelli Imperiale 400 can be booked for a token amount of Rs. 4000/-.
Benelli’s all-new retro-classic motorcycle, the Imperiale 400 is set to be launched on 21 October 2019. Against a token amount of Rs. 4000/-, Benelli has begun accepting bookings for the motorcycle, starting today. The motorcycle can be booked from its dealerships and from the brand’s Indian website. Benelli says that the deliveries of the motorcycle will begin right after Diwali.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 will draw power from a 373.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churning 20.4 PS at 5500 RPM and 28 Nm at 3500 RPM. The motor will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Since Benelli has been developing a BS6-compliant engine, the Imperiale 400 might just be offered with the same. Benelli is considering localising a few components like tyres, wheels, brakes, etc. to keep the price competitive.
The Imperiale 400 is claimed to get the best-in-class 3-year unlimited kilometres warranty as standard and will be offered in 3 body paint options – Red, Black and Chrome. The bike uses a double-cradle steel tube frame underneath and is suspended by telescopic forks upfront and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
The motorcycle is expected to cost around Rs. 2-2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Imperiale 400 lock horns with the Jawa and the Royal Enfield Classic series.
