Benelli To Expand Production and Networking In India

Benelli Imperiale 400 Price

This year alone, the company has sold over 1400 units.

Benelli is working on 5-6 different products

Italian company Benelli after its recent launch of the Imperiale 400, is now planning to expand its portfolio even further. The intentions are pretty clear, to shake off the Royal Enfield’s domination. The aim doesn’t stop here; they even plan on expanding their dealership network throughout India.

The Imperiale 400 is expected to come in more varied iterations and engine sizes. As per the company, they are working on 5-6 different products altogether. However, not the whole lot is going to make it to India, the results of which will depend on the customer and market feedback as well.

The company plans to open 80-100 new outlets by the end of next year. The outlets will almost cover the entire country, having their presence in at least 60-65 major cities and 3-4 outlets in every state. Bengaluru is the highest source of revenue and 60% of the outlets are in the South. Meanwhile North, West and East too will see more of them.

They have the potential to shoot up their assembling capacity to 40,000 units, once the brand flourishes.

Coming back to the Imperiale 400, the bike is a completely knocked-down unit (CKD), which is available for sale at 26 dealers covering the country. The sales process happens through a marketing tie-up with Hyderabad’s Mahavir Group. Moreover, Benelli even plans to export the bike to international markets, obviously with desirable changes for the rest. The bike costs Rs. 1,69,000/- (ex-showroom) and competes with the Classic 350, Thunderbird 350 and the Bullet Electra. Not to forget the Java 42 and the Java 300.

Benelli Future Plans

– Introduction of more bikes

Imperiale 400 stands at Rs. 1,69,000/- (ex-showroom)
