Benelli 502C To Be The Brand’s Next Offering In India

The Benelli 502C draws power from a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine.

The 502C reminds us of the Ducati Diavel

After launching the retro cruiser Imperiale 400, Benelli India is looking forward to introducing another bike in the country later this year or in early 2020. The bike that will be launched is the 502C cruiser, which looks very familiar to the infamous Ducati Diavel.

This will be the Italian superbike manufacturer’s second innings in the nation, and this time around, Benelli is making some aggressive product strategies. The company aims to have 30 dealerships in India before the end of 2019 and also aims to double up the number of outlets by the end of 2020.

The Benelli 502C is powered by a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces a healthy 47 PS and 46 Nm of torque while being mated to a 6-speed transmission. For stopping this cruiser, twin 280 mm disc brakes will be seen on the front and for the rear a single 240 mm disc brake will be used. Dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes as standard. A substantially large fuel tank of 21.5-litres will help this cruiser offer a stellar range.

Additionally, the Benelli 502C will offer some great comfortable ergonomics that will help accentuate the touring motorcycle profile of the superbike. Benelli is aiming to price the cruiser close to Rs. 5 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Benelli 502C will be brought to the country via the CKD route (Completely Knocked Down). With some level of localisation like the Imperiale 400, Benelli might bring down the price of the vehicle.
