Benda Motorcycles is gearing up to globally reveal the LF-01 4-cylinder cruiser motorcycle in July this year.
Revealed as a concept at the 2020 CIMA show, the middleweight motorcycle comes with impressive styling, although the design does draw inspiration from a product retailed by a certain Italian bike manufacturer.
Patent images of the Benda LF-01 were uncovered as early as last July and all of the design details seen in the patent were carried forward to the concept. The production version of the LF-01 should look pretty much the same as well.
Speaking about the design, the Benda LF-01 has a circular headlight with vents, another lighting unit on top, a large sculpted fuel tank with extensions, single piece seat, tyre hugger which houses the number plate and blinkers and a thin tail light cluster.
Being a cruiser, the Benda LF-01 has forward-set foot pegs, a low seat height (695 mm) and rather fat tyres – 130/70-section front and 310/35-section rear – wrapped around its 19-inch front and 18-inch rear rims.
Inverted front forks and the rear monoshock on the cruiser are both adjustable and the braking duty is done by dual front and single rear disc with dual-channel ABS assist.
Like the bodywork, the 4-cylinder engine powering the Benda LF-01 also takes inspiration from another motorcycle, this time from a notable Japanese brand.
The 680cc liquid-cooled motor makes 96.6 HP at 12,000 RPM and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Top speed of the bike that weighs 215 kg is said to have been capped at 180 km/hr.
In terms of features, the middleweight cruiser comes with a full-colour TFT display that should provide the rider with all the necessary information, while hill-start assist will also be offered.
Benda is expected to put the bike on sale in China on 1st July and, no, there is no chance of the LF-01 making its way to India.
