The Bajaj V15 was spotted with a new colour scheme at a dealership by one of our readers. As seen in the photos, it gets a new red scheme with black decals on the tank and the side centre panel.
Its Bajaj again, and this time, the V15 has been spotted adorning a new colour scheme, spotted by our reader Akshay Ballal. The photos clicked by our reader Akshay Ballal show a new colour scheme that might be introduced soon for the Bajaj V15. There has been no official confirmation from Bajaj regarding the launch of the new colour as the bike was spotted at a showroom by our reader. The snaps reveal the new colour that is ready to be sold, which means Bajaj might have started stocking it for a release during the festive season.
The new colour looks like an inverted scheme of the currently sold Black model. The new scheme gets a full bright red paint coat, with black stripe decals on the tank and the side centre panel. The rear cowl is also finished in red. The front fender also gets the red paint, while all the chrome bits, like the head lamp and tail lamp surrounds stay the same. There are no other cosmetic changes apart from the paint.
The V15 is sold as a premium commuter and gets a 150cc motor. The re-tuned DTS-i engine outputs 11.8 HP of power at 7500 RPM and a peak torque figure of 13 Nm at 5000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The V15 retails for Rs. 73,430 /- (on-road, Mumbai) which is costlier than its other commuter siblings, but for the premium you get a piece of Indian Navy Heritage, as the V15 is made from processed metal taken off the decommissioned INS Vikrant.
The V15 is a unique, and a rather welcome take on the Indian commuter motorcycles. It shows that even a no non-sense, commuter need not be bland, dull and unimaginative. The V15 will perfectly suit those looking to liven up their office runs, without sacrificing on the comfort and mileage attributes of a text-book commuter. So, if black or white aren’t much to your liking, red just might be the one for you.
