Bajaj V15 Production Increased To 1000 Units A Day To Meet Demand

Bajaj V15 Road Test

Bajaj Auto seems to be on a roll since the launch of the V15, and they have no intention of holding back as they further look to increase the production rate of the 150cc commuter.

Bajaj will soon increase the daily production of the V15

Bajaj Auto somehow always manages to strike the right chord with the Indian idea of purchasing a two-wheeler. Whether it was the expansion of its Pulsar lineup of motorcycles or the introduction of a 150cc cruiser here in the Indian market, the consumer has, for most part of it, been satisfied. And here they are again, in their latest bid to strike a chord with a 150cc commuter with unique styling.

Now as is rightly said by the company, the success of a vehicle can be gauged from its sales over the first few months since its launch. As the deliveries of the V15 have commenced, they feel confident of its success as the bookings have reached the 10,000 units mark. This is in line as to what they expected and their next goal is to ramp up the production to around 1000 units per day.

That might seem to be quite an optimistic move if you consider the success enjoyed by the Bajaj Pulsar, which although is placed above the V15, has up till now been preferred as both a commuter and a sporty ride by many. Bajaj also insists on focusing more on swift deliveries and a healthy post purchase relationship with each buyer.

A major hurdle that Bajaj was facing has also been rectified. The V15 can now be sold in New Delhi, as even though from 1st April, all new two-wheeler models need to comply with BS-IV norms. Bajaj Auto has promised to eventually launch a BS-IV compliant model of the V15 in the future.

The Bajaj V15, is famously known for its metal on the tank, which contains the remains of India’s first aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. The 150cc commuter motorcycle, is powered by an all new air-cooled mill that produces a relaxed 12.8 PS of power and 13 Nm of torque. It however, heavily banks on its unique styling which is new to this category of motorcycles.
