The updated Bajaj V15 sees a bump in power along with revised gearbox.
The Bajaj V15 has received a major update for 2019 in the form of the V15 Power Up. The motorbike is powered with an updated version of the 149.5cc motor found on the older motorcycle but as the name suggests it now produces a little more power and torque.
The engine makes 13 BHP at 8000 RPM and 13 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. This is an increase of 1 BHP and 0.3 Nm over the older engine which produced 12 BHP at 7500 RPM and 12.7 Nm at 5500 RPM. Like with most updated Bajaj engines, this engine is likely to be smooth and refined.
The new Bajaj V15 Power Up also gets a new gearbox pattern. The previous model had an all-up shift pattern. However, the new one gets a sportier one-down-four-up pattern.
Styling wise the motorbike receives a new treatment for the graphics. While they are similar, the graphics are slightly larger. The graphics vary slightly in the pattern along the top of the fuel tank and on the side quarter panels.
The updated model still doesn’t offer a single-channel ABS. However, it is expected in the near future. The motorcycle’s pricing remains unchanged retailing at Rs. 65,626/- (ex-showroom). Bajaj had launched the V15 in India in February 2016 and post its launch the motorcycle has been selling in decent numbers.
