Bajaj V12 Discontinued Temporarily, To Be Back On Sale Soon

2017 Bajaj V12 Review

Bajaj V12 discontinued from the Indian market temporarily, to be back on sale in the next few months.

Unique styling of the V12 is its main USP

Bajaj has temporarily pulled the plug on the V12 commuter motorcycle in India and sources say that it will be back on sale in the next few months. Dealers have not been receiving stocks of the bike and hence are refusing to accept bookings as well.

Launched last year, the Bajaj V12 was positioned as a premium commuter bike between the Discover 125 and the V15. The bike comes powered by a 124.5cc single-cylinder and air-cooled engine that produces 10.7 PS of power and 10.9 Nm of torque. Unlike the V15, the V12 gets skinnier tyres, redesigned alloy wheels and a modest-looking instrument console.

Sales of the V12 have been dwindling over the past few months. The sales of the motorcycle have been as follows:
* May 2018 – 0 units
* April 2018 – 321 units
* March 2018 – 484 units
* February 2018 – 687 units
* January 2018 – 1737 units

There had been a similar case with the Pulsar 135 as well a few months ago. The entry-level Pulsar bike was discontinued for a while and then launched again with an attractive sticker price. Likewise, the V12 will also be back in production soon and go on sale in the near future, probably by the festive season this year.

The updated V12 is expected to be launched in India by the festive season
