Bajaj Auto has announced that it will be launching the new Pulsar range on 14th April in Delhi. It’s just been two weeks since the launch of the Pulsar RS 200 and the company’s new flagship will most likely be joined by three new offerings including the Pulsar 200 AS, 150 NS and 150 AS. The 200 AS will be slotted between the 200 NS and RS 200 and is likely to commence sales from 14th April itself while the 150 NS and AS models could be unveiled with sales set to commence in the May-June period.
The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will witness a major overhaul over the outgoing model with styling inspired from the 200 NS while power will come from the 150cc motor that is now tuned to produce 17 PS and 13 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The 150 AS, on the other hand, is the touring friendly version based on the 150 NS and gets projector headlights, large windscreen and a bikini fairing extending up to the fuel tank. The 150 AS will be positioned below the 200 AS in the Pulsar family.
Coming to the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS (Adventure Sport) that commenced production along with the RS 200, the tourer gets new half-fairing similar to the Pulsar 220F, a tall windscreen and a projector lamp incorporated into the headlight cluster. The rear sports a conventional mudguard while the tail lamp remains the same as the 200 NS. The powerplant will continue to be the 199.5cc single-cylinder carburetted motor producing 23.5 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Prices for the 200 AS are expected to be around the Rs. 1 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
