Bajaj Auto recently gave a minor update to the Pulsar 200 NS. The range of colours offered on the bike has been revised. The bike was previously being offered in four colour options namely Cherry Black, Safire Blue, Tosca Red and Mustard Yellow. However, the Pulsar 200 NS is currently being offered in four colours while three of these colours are dual-tone. Midnight Black, Black and Blue, Black and Red, Black and White are the new colour combinations offered on the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS.
The company has decided to follow this suit of dual-tone paint schemes following its introduction on the Pulsar 220. The graphics on the bike make it look relatively less bulkier. The Midnight Black colour bike does not get any graphics though Mustard Yellow was definitely a favourite amongst the enthusiasts and its discontinuation sure would be a disappointment to many. So currently the Pulsar 200 NS is being offered in four colours – 3 dual tone and 1 single tone.
Bajaj intends to distinguish its current offering from the thousands of already existing Pulsars plying the roads in India. The company expects to attract customers while also aiming to clear the inventory in time for the launch of the updated 2014 Pulsar 200 NS which is expected to come with fuel-injection technology that would boost efficiency.
The Pulsar 200 NS is propelled by a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine with a displacement of 199.5 cc. It produces a peak output of 23.2 BHP at 9500 RPM and a torque range of 18.3 Nm at 8000 RPM. The bike is priced at Rs. 87,794/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Though this motorcycle received a minor update, it would have been more pleasing if only the company decided to offer better tyres and ABS on the Pulsar 200 NS. However ABS is on the cards for next year.
