The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 has been spotted in the mountains of Ladakh for its TV commercial. The motorbike stays true to the concept shown at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 is one of the most awaited bikes of this year since its first public unveiling at the 2016 Auto Expo. The bike got people lusting after its power cruiser looks. Now it seems like Bajaj is all set to launch the bike anytime now, as it has been caught unguarded by some keen-eyed enthusiasts while shooting for its TV commercial in the rugged terrain of Ladakh.
The clear images reveal many details about the production iteration of the bike, which was first showcased as the Cruiser Sports Concept at the 2016 Auto Expo. The images show that the bike has stayed true to the concept with very little changes, and gets telescopic forks in the front, monoshock rear suspension, ABS equipped disc brakes in both wheels, a fantastic alloy wheel pattern and LED headlamps.
The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 will be the bike maker’s most powerful offering, packing a 373.27cc single cylinder engine sourced from the KTM Duke 390. The oil-cooled unit produces 34.51 BHP of power at 8000 RPM, and is married to a 6-speed gearbox with revised gear ratios. A primary digital instrument cluster with tachometer and speedometer and a secondary, tank-mounted cluster completes the sporty package of the bike.
However, to its fans’ dismay, Bajaj has pushed forward the plans to launch the Pulsar VS 400 to a later date, after the upcoming festive season is over. The company says it wants to focus on the festive season sales for now and will handle the launch at a later date. The company is also trying to pitch it as the competitor for the Cruiser segment, taking on the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic and the Mahindra Mojo.
