Bajaj has just released a TV commercial for its latest offering, the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS and flaunts its advantages over other motorcycles.
Bajaj on 14th April 2015, launched a segment first motorcycle below the Rs. 1 lakh mark, the Pulsar 200 AS. Priced between the Pulsar 200 NS and Pulsar RS 200, the sports tourer is targeted towards youngsters who want practicality on weekdays and the usual fun factor on weekends. Just recently, Bajaj has launched an advertisement for their latest offering on their YouTube page and showcases what the motorcycle is best at, touring.
Bajaj started production of the Pulsar 200 AS alongside its sport counterpart, the RS 200. Though produced alongside each other, the Pulsar 200 AS shares its underpinnings with the Pulsar 200 NS. The 199.5cc carbureted engine with 4-valves and triple spark plugs, generates 23.52 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 18.3 Nm of twisting force at 8000 RPM, which is the same tune that powers the naked sibling as well. The Adventure Sport also gets MRF tyres and has the same underbelly exhaust as the Pulsar Naked Sport.
What differentiates the Pulsar 200 AS from the 200 NS is its half fairing, projector headlights and a tall windscreen. The rest of the bike seems to share its parts with the Pulsar 200 NS significantly and looks similar to it from behind except for the AS 200 badging on the side and the different mudguard. The adventure motorcycle from Bajaj carries the same characteristics in terms of riding dynamics and ergonomics as the 200 NS but the company wants to differentiate it as a well groomed touring motorcycle by positioning it differently. This bike isn’t an off-roader like many would believe. The Pulsar AS is also offered in 150cc guise.
