Work on the Bajaj Pulsar 250F spotted on test is nearing completion
The Bajaj Pulsar 250F has been spotted yet again in Pune. This time around, the test mule looks almost complete and the motorcycle’s design can be seen clearly.
Upfront, there is a new LED headlight with DRLs that look like eyebrows. Coupled with the flyscreen and the rather slim LED indicators, the motorcycle (from the front at least) looks like a Japanese product than an Indian one.
Of course, there are new mirrors and the clip-on handlebars are set high for a very relaxed riding position. This motorcycle should be an entry-level touring machine, then.
Along the sides, the new semi-fairing that merges cohesively with the fuel tank can be seen with a vent and the bike also features a new engine cowl.
The subframe is enclosed with panels that look similar to ones used on the NS200, while the seats are split units.
A stubby exhaust canister sits right beside the rider’s and passenger foot pegs and Bajaj has fitted the test mule of the Pulsar 250F with a tyre hugger and a saree guard too.
The recently spotted Bajaj Pulsar 250F development mule has LED tail lights. There are a variant of the current units and are nearly X-shaped. The small number plate holder completes the design.
To be powered by a 250cc air- and oil-cooled motor that has variable valve actuation, the motorcycle will come with telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock.
It also has discs on both wheels and speaking of which, we cannot confirm if these rims will be used in the production-spec Pulsar 250F, for they are already in use in a few current models.
Judging by the near-complete state of the development mule, Bajaj could launch the quarter litre bike this year and it should cost as much as a Yamaha FZ 25.
