Bajaj recently has increased the price of its Pulsar AS 200 motorcycle by Rs. 2,000/-. This increase follows a similar price rise of the Pulsar RS 200 almost a month ago.
Bajaj Auto launched the AS version of the Pulsar in two categories, the AS 150 and the AS 200. The Pulsar AS 200 was launched at a price less than its naked-bike sibling the Pulsar 200NS. The bike maker though mentioned that this price was just a part of the introductory pricing for the AS 200 and said that that they would increase the price at a later stage.
Bajaj has now increased the price of the Pulsar AS 200 by Rs. 2000/-. The bike was introduced into the market at a price tag of Rs. 91,550/- and now after the price hike, it is priced at Rs. 93,552/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). This hike in the price tag follows after its other faired sibling the Pulsar RS 200 received a similar increase in price almost a month back.
The Pulsar AS 200 receives the same 199.5cc engine as on its naked bike sibling the Pulsar 200NS and also produces the same power figures of 23.5 BHP at 9500 RPM and 18.3 Nm at 8000 RPM, mated with a 6-speed gearbox. The Pulsar AS 200 get a carburettor, unlike the Pulsar RS 200 which is fuel injected. The AS 200 though gets a semi-fairing which makes it almost 8 kgs heavier than the Pulsar 200NS, but this in-turn makes the bike more aerodynamic along with the visor which results in more comfort during long rides at higher speeds.
Bajaj has already updated their website with the new price list. The Pulsar 200NS is priced at Rs. 91,553/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) though it is still not available at any showrooms. Also the AS 150 which was launched alongside the AS 200 has not yet received any price hike and is still available for Rs. 79,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
