The new bike is available for bookings and includes CBS to comply with the safety regulations deadline of April 2019.
Bajaj Auto unveiled the Platina 110 with CBS, which is a new variant of the Platina 110. The bike is already made available at dealerships and it is priced at Rs. 49,300/- (ex-showroom).
The new Bajaj Platina 110 has replaced the 102cc air-cooled DTS-i motor with the 115.5cc air-cooled DTS-i engine from the Discover 110. The new engine produces 8.6 HP power and 9.81 Nm torque at peak operation. The new Platina 110 is also 3 mm longer (now at 2006 mm) and 7 mm taller (now at 1076 mm). However, the fuel tank has undergone a capacity reduction by 0.5-litres and will now be able to hold only 11-litres.
As per the upcoming safety regulations to be maintained by bike manufacturers for bikes with engines below 125cc from April 2019 effectively, the Platina 110 now comes with Combi-Braking System (CBS). Drum brakes come as standard and are fitted at both ends while the option of a front disc is also made available.
The design of the bike doesn’t undergo any change, as the bike had recently undergone a design reconstruct. The Platina 110 will be offered at a premium of under Rs. 2000/- over the current bike’s price.
