Bajaj Auto has launched its flagship model, the Pulsar 200 NS in Jakarta, Indonesia. As speculated earlier, the 200 NS gets a subtle makeover specifically for the Indonesian market. The prominent change that the company has brought to the Indonesian NS is the black paint treatment on several body parts in matte finish. The bottom engine case looks better in the new dark blackish shade. The chassis bar that holds the engine and inner part of the disc plates are also painted in black.
The handle bars seem more up-market in matte paint rather than the glossy finish on the Indian model. Bajaj Auto has not showcased the NS in captivating Ninja Green color but Tosca Red is replaced with the striking ‘Cocktail Wine Red’. The 200 NS is wrapped in new streaky design decals with the much needed tank pad, which is missing on the Indian version. The other alterations includes the ‘RPM LIMIT’ embedded on reserve indicator, Bajaj logo illumination on instrument console replaced with the Kawasaki Bajaj name, repositioned front number plate along with tyre pressure and chain slackness information written on the swing arm.
The Indonesian Pulsar 200 NS wears the same TVS boots as in India and no alleviation has been reported regarding the technology part as it was expected that Bajaj might introduce fuel injection on the 200 NS in Indonesia, where the bike will be sold from Kawasaki outlets as both companies are operating their business activities in several countries under a partner alliance.
The price of the Pulsar 200 NS is declared as 23.5 million Indonesian Rupiah which is equal to almost Rs. 1.4 lakhs in our country. However, the tank pad and the new engine shade on the NS seems clever additions but the body decals that Bajaj has brought to beautify the product, slightly sheds the hooligan appeal of the motorcycle.
