Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG name leaked from the official website, launch tomorrow
Bajaj Auto is set to launch the world’s first petrol+CNG bi-fuel motorcycle, the Bajaj Freedom 125, on 5th July, 2024. This innovative model aims to offer commuters a cost-effective alternative amid rising fuel prices and inflation.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 is expected to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency, potentially up to 100 km/kg when running on CNG. The bike will allow riders to switch between petrol and CNG, offering flexibility based on fuel availability and cost. The 125cc engine is designed to provide performance on par with other motorcycles in its class when using petrol, while the CNG mode may offer reduced performance, comparable to 100cc or 110cc motorcycles.
Bajaj plans to release multiple variants of the Freedom 125 to cater to a broad range of customers. The base models are expected to be competitively priced, while the top variants will come with additional features such as knuckle guards, tyre huggers and front disc brakes. Standard features across all variants include a long seat, round headlight, CNG cylinder under the seat, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and ADV-like styling with high ground clearance.
The anticipated price range for the Bajaj Freedom 125 is around Rs. 90,000/- (ex-showroom). Bajaj’s reputation for aggressive pricing suggests that the final prices may be highly competitive, potentially surprising the market.
This launch signifies a significant milestone for Bajaj Auto, showcasing their engineering prowess and commitment to innovative mobility solutions. The Freedom 125 aims to provide an affordable commuting option, addressing the economic concerns of riders seeking relief from the high running costs associated with petrol motorcycles.
With the confirmation of the name “Freedom 125” from Bajaj’s official website, the anticipation for this unique motorcycle continues to build. As Bajaj prepares for its launch, the Freedom 125 is poised to set new standards in fuel efficiency and affordability, potentially becoming a game-changer in the two-wheeler market.
