The Bajaj E-Chetak will be launched in India in January 2020.
Bajaj Auto has announced that the Chetak electric scooter will be offered with a 3-years/50,000 kms warranty. The company claims that the battery pack will last 70,000 kms. However, the service interval of the electric scooter stands at 15,000 kms.
Bajaj recently concluded the Chetak Electric Yatra at its corporate office in Akurdi. The 3000 kms ride was flagged off from Delhi on 16th October 2019 and concluded in Pune while traveling through Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Panaji. The company’s warranty and service information were revealed at the conclusion ceremony. In addition, Bajaj also revealed that the Chetak will also be built at its Chakan facility in Maharashtra and gets an all-female workforce on the assembly line.
Bajaj unveiled the electric Chetak in October 2019 with retail sales beginning in January 2020 in Pune followed by Delhi. The electric 2-wheeler is likely to be priced around Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold through the Bajaj Probiking showrooms where KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles will also be available.
