Bajaj Dominar Scrambler 400 will be based on the standard Dominar 400.
The Dominar 400 is a flagship Bajaj and since its launch, the bike has grabbed a lot of attention in the market. However, the sales figures were not enough for the Pune based manufacturer and hence the company is planning to give its flagship a new avatar. The launch of Bajaj Dominar Scrambler 400 is expected to be around the first quarter of 2019.
Expect the Dominar Scrambler 400 to be a capable off-roader along with good touring capabilities. The motorcycle is expected to get crash guards, auxiliary lights, placement for saddlebags and pannier, etc. The bike will be based on the standard Dominar 400.
The mechanicals like engine, chassis and suspension will be shared by both the bikes. The engine will be a 373cc liquid-cooled single cylinder unit. However, expect it to be tuned differently. The extra equipment on the bike will reflect a slight increase in price. When launched, it will take on the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan.
