A Bajaj Dominar 400 has been modified to look like an adventure bike.
Ground Designs, a customisation venue for both 2 and 4-Wheelers in Pune has modified a Bajaj Dominar into an adventure bike. The addition of various off-road biased accessories makes this Dominar look like an adventure bike. The Dominar 400 is essentially a sports tourer.
For starters, there’s a raised front suspension that gets 90 mm of extended travel and a raised front mudguard. Changes to the front also include a black cover for the headlight, a fully transparent windshield and knuckle guards. The alloy wheels have been painted in neon green to grab eyeballs instantly.
The stock engine crash guard has been replaced with an after-market crash bar which also houses the fog lights. There are decals that read ‘400’ on the portion next to the perimeter frame. This portion has also been painted neon green to match with the colour of the alloys. At the rear, you can find luggage panniers and an off-road specific dual purpose tyre for added traction on various surfaces.
The Dominar 400 draws power from a 373.3cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that produces 35 HP of power and 35 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. A slipper clutch aids in smoother and faster gearshifts. ABS is offered optionally.
