As seen in most of the cases, a responsible rider had a face-meet-road moment due to someone else’s stupidity.
In a dynamic country like India, there are basically two kinds of motorcycle riders plying on our streets. Majority of them are those who do not have any regard for their or others safety and therefore they don’t give two-hoots about trivial stuff like traffic rules, wrong side riding, left side overtaking and over-speeding. The second kinds of riders are those true-blue bikers who abide by all the laws of nature and never ride without adequate protection and gear.
But due to the former kind of personalities, many people have a disrespecting and apathetic mentality towards all two-wheeler riders and therefore often consider them as the villains of the Indian concrete jungle. One such incident has now been captured on video, where there was no mistake of our fully geared and responsible Bajaj Dominar 400 riding brother and yet he still had to pay the price of riding on our roads filled with idiots with some gross injuries.
Recently a video has emerged on Youtube which shows a Bajaj Dominar 400 rider mercilessly shunted by a car driver because he goofed-up a high speed dual carriageway overtake. This frankly is sad and daily occurring on our uncultured roads. One can clearly see the Hyundai Getz driver trying to overtake dangerously even though there is a gigantic bus coming from the other side. The rider was in full biking gear with proper helmet and padding, and thus was able to survive the horrible ordeal.
The short video demonstrates how much further we have to travel in order to call us a developed country capable of deserving such machines. There is a reason that India still has the distinction of being the number one country in the list of most road-accident related deaths, year after year. We just hope that the rider seen in the video recovers fully from his injuries and gets back to his passion of riding as soon as possible.
