The Bajaj Dominar 400 received a price hike of Rs. 5876/- in July 2019 as well.
Poor sales and a warped 2-wheeler industry have possibly led Bajaj to hike the price of its Dominar 400 motorcycle by Rs. 10,000/-. The flagship motorcycle, which was launched at an introductory price of Rs. 1.74 lakhs, now costs Rs. 1.90 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). The bike received a price hike of Rs. 5876/- in July 2019 as well.
The recent update to the Bajaj Dominar 400 gave it additional kit and a performance upgrade. The 2019 version uses the same 373.3cc engine but develops 39.9 HP and 35 Nm of torque. The bike’s suspension was also upgraded with new Endurance USD front forks and a re-tuned rear monoshock. The front brakes were changed to radially mounted callipers.
Braking duty is undertaken by a 320 mm single disc with a radial calliper upfront while at the rear it gets a 230 mm disc with a single-pot calliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in 2 colours – Aurora Green and Vine Black. Bajaj has announced that the Dominar will be updated to BS6 norms in the near future.
Referring to conducive sales charts, in August 2019 the Dominar 400 sold just 927 units which shows a decline of 17% when compared to its August 2018 sales figures.
