Bajaj Dominar 400 Police Bike Displayed At Motobike Istanbul 2018

Bajaj Dominar 400 police bike was showcased in Turkey at the recently-concluded Motobike Istanbul exhibition.

Terms “Zabita” and “Polis” stand for Police in Turkish language

Kuralkan A.S., Bajaj Auto’s partner based in Turkey, has showcased a slew of models from the brand’s lineup at an event in Istanbul, Turkey. Known as the Motobike Istanbul Show, the exhibition was concluded on 25th February this year and had witnessed participation from over 265 exhibitors in 2017. This time, Bajaj Auto’s stand was dominated by the Dominar 400 police bike along with the NS 200 Adventure Edition, V15 and Pulsar 135 LS.

Tailored to suit the needs of police officers, the Dominar 400 police bike belongs to the Police Department and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Police. The power cruiser was showcased in two shades – white and black – and featured “Polis” and “Zabita” graphics, tall tinted visor, top box for luggage, PA siren system and strobe lights. The white bike was also equipped with headlamp grill and hand guards.

Powering the Dominar 400 is a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. The fuel-injected motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The police bike is dual-channel ABS version and comes with features such as digital instrument console and all-LED lighting. Introduced last year, the regular Dominar 400 retails for TRY 21,950 (equivalent to Rs. 3.76 lakhs) in Turkey.
