The 150cc segment is a crowded section with sporty and commuter offerings for buyers. However, there are buyers who want the best of both worlds and Bajaj just might have something for them coming up. Bajaj Auto is working on the Discover F150, the 150cc version in the Discover series which is being tested with heavy camouflage in the country. Now, our in-house design expert Anupam Parihar has rendered what the production version of the Discover F150 would look like.
On the outset, the Discover F150 seems to have taken inspiration from the old generation Hero Karizma R. The quarter fairing coupled with the elongated and wide seat, with the large single headlight unit definitely reminds you of the Karizma R. The rear does seem to be rather odd, but considering it is targeted at the commuter segment, the rear seat can’t be too high and is focused towards comfort riding. The motorcycle will feature a digital instrument console with an analogue tachometer as well as a glossy black exhaust muffler. The web spoked wheels alloy wheels do lend a sporty appeal to the bike.
The Discover F150 will be powered by a 150cc, single-cylinder DTS-i engine capable of producing around 14 PS of power. Stopping power will come from ventilated discs at the front and rear. Expect to see telescopic front forks and a monoshock setup at the rear. The Discover F150 will be sharing a lot of its parts with the Pulsar series and the Discover 125 ST. the F150 will be competing against the Honda Stunner and Hero Ignitor in its segment, and expect the pricing to be a tad bit premium than the competition since it also gets a bigger engine than its rivals. What do you think of the Discover F150 render? Would the motorcycle be able to leave a mark in the segment? Let us know in the comments section below.
