The Pulsar RS 200 will be launched on 26th March 2015 and Bajaj is stocking the bike in good numbers to tackle the initial demand that the bike will generate.
Bajaj has been creating a lot of buzz lately thanks to its new bikes which are going to be launched soon. We have been looking at spy pictures of the Pulsar RS 200 and the Pulsar 200 AS since ages and finally the time has come when the company will launch these products. The company has already started accepting bookings for the RS 200 and the bike will be launched on 26th March 2015. The launch date for the 200 AS isn’t confirmed yet. The company has commenced production for both the bikes at its plant in Chakan, Pune and they are gearing up for the strong demand that the bike will generate right after launch.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is being claimed to be the fastest Pulsar yet according to the company’s new advertisements. The Indian bikemaker has always enjoyed a good share in the 150cc segment since the past many years depending solely on the Pulsar but with rivals coming out with newer and better products, Bajaj started losing out on sales and hence decided to make a strong comeback. The RS 200 looks very good and Bajaj also has a good reputation when it comes to after-sales as well as reliability. Once the RS 200 gets launched, the company will start preparing the 200 AS to hit our market.
Bajaj is using almost the same mechanicals as the Pulsar 200 NS on the Pulsar RS 200 and 200 AS. The bikes are powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The FI version of this engine gives out 24.4 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 18.6 Nm of peak torque at 8500 RPM. The Pulsar 200 AS won’t be equipped with fuel injection. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Pulsar RS 200 will be competing directly with the Yamaha R15 and we expect it to be priced at Rs. 1.15 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base model and approximately Rs. 10,000/- more for the top variant.
