The Bajaj Chetak e-scooter gets a modern design with a steel body.
Barely a day after the official unveil of Bajaj’s first electric scooter named Chetak, speculations are rife that the vehicle could be priced around Rs. 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom). At that price, the e-scooter will undercut the popular Ather 450 that is priced at Rs. 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
The e-scooter gets a modern design with a steel body and is available with 6 colour options. It gets an LED headlamp with DRLs, feather touch electronic switches, and LED blinkers. The Chetak electric also gets a circular digital instrument cluster.
The Bajaj Chetak electric draws power from an IP67 rated battery pack that can be charged using a standard household power outlet. It has two riding modes – Eco and Sport offering a range of 95 kms and 85 kms respectively. It also gets regenerative braking.
